Deliverable: The program involved establishing a mentorship program for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) jobseekers interested in working in the aged care industry and delivering cultural competency training to staff at selected aged care services. The evaluation investigated how well these processes worked (how much did they do, how well did they do it and who is better off) and provided the opportunity for reflections by participants and other stakeholders to make recommendations to industry on providing more supportive practices for CALD employees (Project and Program Advisory; Engagement and co-design)
Client: Office of Veterans
Deliverable: Evaluation of a legal services pilot aimed at assisting Queensland veterans to understand whether the pilot is working as intended, its appropriateness, utility and equity, its effectiveness and efficiency in addressing the issues and whether it represents value for money and is sustainable.
Client: Department of Health and Aged Care
Deliverable: The evaluation took a co-design approach and drew on program data, a desktop review of the policy context and similar programs interviews with peaks, health services, trainees and other stakeholders as well as a validation workshop with representatives of peaks and community controlled RTOs they run to design the recommendations.
Client: Department of Education, Skills and Employment
Deliverable: Research into approaches to support small businesses to employ mature age workers. The research involved recruiting 15 businesses from three different industry sectors. The findings were provided to Departmental staff and key stakeholders to inform strategy.
Client: Jobs Queensland
Deliverable: The evaluation described the intended outcomes and the extent to which this industry-led model helped develop and implement collaborative solutions by leveraging industry knowledge and contacts. It considered the unique success factors of an industry-led model and the lessons from this model that could inform Jobs Queensland responses to other emerging skills needs and use in future outsourced projects.
