Evaluation of Strengthening Health Assessment Pathways for Children in Out of Home Care (2021-2022)

Client: Brisbane South PHN

Deliverable:   Evaluation of a state-wide, place-based program providing health assessment to children in out of home care including analysis of program records and data and interviews, focus groups and workshops with diverse stakeholders. Evaluation outcomes informed ongoing program funding and protocol development.

Discovery research with Queensland Paediatric Sepsis Program to inform model of care

Client: Centre for Children's Health Research

Deliverable:  Planning, design and cofacilitation of four semi-structured, trauma-informed focus groups: two with parents of children who survived sepsis and two with bereaved parents. Findings informed recommendations for developing a model of care for post-hospital support, addressing both the immediate recovery period and long-term needs. 

Development of Skill Sharing Framework for Queensland Health Allied Health Professionals.

Client:  Office of the Chief Allied Health Officer, Queensland Health.

Deliverable:  The project delivered a new Framework to guide Queensland Health to understand, scope, embed and sustain allied health skill sharing practices.  

Research study to understand GP referral pathways and practices for low back pain

Client: Queensland Health

Deliverable:  The research recommended implementation of a codesign process to develop an improved model of care for this patient cohort. The findings have been submitted to a peer reviewed journal for publication with a discussion of the systemic barriers to practising to best practice standards. 

Research into Practice Innovations by Allied Health Professionals in Response to COVID-10 Pandemic.

Client: Allied Health Professions Office of Queensland, Queensland Health

Deliverable:  The report shared lessons learnt and opportunities to achieve system-wide implementation and sustainability of innovative value-based models of care.   A publication for a Perspectives Brief for the Deeble Institute for Health Policy Research was also prepared.

Evaluation of Finding North Network

Client: Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia

Deliverable: Evaluation of an NDIS Information, Linkages and Capacity Building funded project to support and build the lived experience leadership capability of people living with mental illness - including co-design of a program logic, evaluation framework and evaluation tools. Based on evidence of its success, the Network has recently secured funding for a further three years.
